COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE

$36

MONDAYS 11-3 PM

WEDNESDAYS 3-8 PM

SUNDAYS 11-3 PM

Community Acupuncture is a unique alone-but-together experience.

Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs but delivered in a peaceful, reverent, and wide-open shared space.

This allows us to offer acupuncture at an affordable price, but it provides something else too: togetherness. Sharing space, even when we are immersed in our own interior worlds, is a powerful catalyst for healing.

After an initial consultation, we keep the conversation to a minimum. After all, your treatment isn’t about us, it’s about you.

Stay as long as you want, sink as deep as you want, and let the tiny needles and the warm cloak of communal rest lull you to stillness in your body and mind.

hello

Hi, I’m Sara. I studied cross-cultural and public health at the University of Michigan and Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, OH. I have been a nationally certified and licensed acupuncturist since 2015.

Beneath the esoteric veneer of East Asian Medicine lies a raw and powerful humanism. More than ever in my lifetime, the chaos of this moment in history calls out for that stripped-down compassion and care. We are all treading water in the same murky anxiety and relentless 24-hour news cycle. We all need a break.

Acupuncture is more than needles. It’s more than relief for a headache or a backache or a common cold. It’s an exhale. It feels like heat emanating from sun-soaked rocks and it sounds like the roaring silence of plunging underwater. It looks like people gathering in a shared space to close their eyes and rest, together-but-apart. It’s an experience we can have both in community and yet entirely alone.

I am committed to making it a part of as many lives as I can.

Sara Barcus, Dipl.Ac. , L. Ac.
